It is generally a good idea for product developing companies to “eat their own dog food”, and actually use the developed products themselves. For EMG we therefore provide the service SMS Submit, primarily to Swedish companies. This service handles both incoming and outgoing messages, and tunneling to and from email.
When troubleshooting unexpected behaviour by EMG, or we want to provide binaries with new functionality to customers, we use the service FileCentral. FileCentral stores the files locally in Sweden, and sends an email with a notification to the recipient. The recipient then uses the provided link to download the file. This way any size restrictions enforced by email providers can be ignored.
There are several alternative solutions to this problem now, so in 2023 this service will be terminated.
